Native Beach Trancoso
At less than five minutes from Casa Angatu, you just have to follow the path on stilts to cross a mangrove to reach the fine sands of the Praia dos Nativos (beach of indigenous people). Continuing south, the coconut trees steadily replace the beach’s bars and restaurants.
Prais dos Nativos is one of the most visited beaches in Trancoso, Bahia, it starts on the edge of the Trancoso River and extends to the north side to the tip of the curve. This beach is ideal for those looking to play sports, you will find two volleyball fields.
As it is one of the most touristic beaches of Trancoso, you will find several beach clubs with drinks and snacks. During busy season DJ are invited to play electronic music
Praia dos Coqueiros
Further south from Trancoso, the Praia dos Coqueiros is known for its natural pools at low tide. Its natural beauty will blow you away. It is the perfect spot to spend the day, coconut trees everywhere, blue water, and great temperature. The Praia dos Coqueiros is best known for its stunning coral reefs of all colors and its fish diversity of all colors.
Praia Rio Verde
As you continue your walk after Prai dos Coqueiros approximately 15 minutes, you’ll arrive at Praia Rio Verde. Also accessible by foot from the village. The Rio Verde is the destination for those looking for less crowded places. You will also find beach clubs, live music, and good gastronomy.

PRAIA ITAPOROROCA
If you enjoy long walks and remote places this is the perfect beach for you, besides being unique it is an Environmental Preservation Area full of turtles.
From Casa Angatu you can drive down to Praia Rio Verde and then take one hour walk to Itapororoca Beach, it’s a paradise on earth with the perfect view on blue/turquoise water. As it is more isolated compared to other beaches, you will find it calmer despite the strong waves.
Surfers love this beach because they can enjoy it even during the cold season.
Praia do Espelho
A 15-minute drive from Casa Angatu on a dirt track will bring you to Praia do Espelho which can also be reached by boat. The Reefs, coconut trees, natural pools, white sand, and turquoise sea are a postcard setting for an unforgettable moment!
